Established in 1991, the BOSF is an Indonesian non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of the Bornean orangutan and its habitat, in conjunction with local communities, the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry, and international partner organisations.
The BOSF is currently taking care of almost 750 orangutans with the support of 400 highly devoted staff, as well as experts in primatology, biodiversity, ecology, forest rehabilitation, agroforestry, community empowerment, education, and orangutan healthcare.
The BOSF runs a number of programs to protect, conserve, and reintroduce orangutans and their habitat across Borneo, and relies on funding from the private sector in order to fulfill its mission. We are supporting the BOSF through a number of initiatives, and we encourage you to support them also - every single dollar raised, and every single act of awareness, makes a difference to the organisation and the creatures they serve.
